India’s iconic royal trainPalace on Wheels will be redesigned in a royal look with additional contemporary facilities and a royal Spa car. The new train will be an upgraded version of the existing one. Dr Manjit Singh, chairman and managing director, RTDC said that the new Palace on Wheels will have an exclusive interiors, structural layout and improvised services. These all changes are being made with feedback taken from the travelers.

To cut down the sPalace on Wheels - Restaurantpace, the cabins in the saloons will be reduced from four to three. Currently, there are 23 coaches in the train comprising of 14 saloons, one spa coach, two restaurants and a restro bar. An additional “The Royal Spa” will be added for tourist to enjoy the various Ayurvedic therapies and where they can unwind with the royal spa therapies.
This coming season, the Palace on Wheels will also be serving Mexican, Thai, sea food and Italian food to the guests. Also the itinerary of the season will be Delhi-Jaipur-Sawaimadhopur-Chittorgarh-Udaipur-Jaisalmer-Jodhpur-Bharatpur-Agra-Delhi.
