Your Journey on the Palace on Wheels could almost be like a dream come alive! Like a twilight charm, it enchants a traveler.The luxurious Palace on Wheels can sooth your soul and senses! It could make for a memory you'd like to cherish for always. It’ll sure be an unforgettable experience of your lifetime!Palace on Wheels begins its journey from Delhi and slowly creeps through the travel destinations of royal Rajasthan, Agra in Uttar Pradesh and culminates its weekly journey in Delhi as well. So come explore the royal destinations, indulge in the music and folklore of this fascinating land as well as gym, chat, read and even make new friends on board the train!
Day 1: New Delhi - Wednesday - Departure 6:00 PM
You arrive in Delhi. Our representative picks you up. Delhi, the capital of India is the face of the country. If you have time you can enjoy a little sightseeing in Delhi by exploring some of the famous monuments of Delhi.The wizardly tour starts in the evening with the ceremonial welcome aboard the Palace on wheels at Safdarjung, New Delhi. Be prepared for a royal welcome when you are greeted with a garland, a traditional tikka, a turban and a glass of wine. There will also be an introductory meeting with your co- travelers; feel free to explore your new palace and acquaint yourself with its versatile facilities. Relax with a drink at the bar. Enjoy some authentic Indian cuisines at its two awesome restaurants. The ambience in the train with soothing music gives you peaceful sleep for the night.
Day 2: Jaipur - Arrival 3.45 AM-Departure 11.30 PM
Your tour begins at the famed Hawa Mahal, followed by the amazing Jantar Mantar or observatory: Albert Hall Museum and City Palace, home of the erstwhile rulers and now a well-maintained museum. Lunch is at the Amber Fort. Also don’t miss out the elephant ride up to the massive Amber fort. See the splendid fusion of Rajput and Mughal style of architecture. An interesting tor is Jaipur by Night.There is enough time to do some shopping at this beautiful city that is known as a shopper’s paradise. Dinner served on board.

Day 3: Friday, Ranthambore - Sawai Madhopur, Arrival 5.30 AM Departure 10.30 AM
Ranthambore National Park is a well-known and recognized Project Tiger reserve that is also home to a large number of animals and bird species. While on a tour of the National Park you will also get a chance to see Jhoomar Baori, a hunting lodge of the erstwhile rulers of Jaipur; Jogi Mahal, a former forests guest’s house where you can view the picturesque scenery of Padam Talab. Another interesting monument here is the 1000 year old Ranthambore Fort that is of great historical importance.As you proceed on the Palace on Wheels ride through the countryside and enjoy the luxury. Palace on Wheels now reaches Chittorgarh.
Season Special Arrangements:
- Visit to Jhoomar Baori, a hunting lodge of Jaipur ruler Sawai Madho Singh. Tourists can click the best pictures of nature here.
- Visit to Jogi Mahal - A former forest guest house from where one has the best view of greeneries of Padam Talab.
- Leisurely Breakfast at Vinayak Hotel.
Chittorgarh - Arrival 4.00 PM Departure 2.00 AM
One of the largest forts of India and also one with the most romantic and awe inspiring history. Built by various rulers during the 5th and 8th century period, this fort covers an area of 680 acres. The fort is accessible through seven gates. Important places here are Rana Kumbha palace, Padamini’s Palace, Vijay Stambhi, Kirti Stambh and various temple and kundas. Enjoy the sound and light show on the fort before dinner at Panna Hotel-named after Panna Dhai, the foster mother of the Mewar ruler, who scarified her son in order to save the life of Prince Udai Singh of Mewar.Season Special Arrangements :

- Dinner at Panna Hotel (Named after the foster mother of Mewar ruler, Panna Dhai who saved the life of the prince by sacrificing her own son).
- Cultural programme, music & Barbeque at the hotel.
Day 4: Saturday, Udaipur Arrival 8.00 AM Departure 3.30 PM
Udaipur is also known as the City of Lakes. Maharana Udai Singh founded this new kingdom after he moved here from Chittorgarh. Start the day with good breakfast.Lunch is at 5 Star Hotel where you can enjoy a view of the beautiful Lake. Site-seeing will include a City Palace visit to the famed Crystal Gallery where you can see a collection of the most amazing crystal objects that are on display. Enjoy a boat ride at Lake Pichola before you head back to the train.
Season Special Arrangements :
- Enjoy at Shikar Baori delicious breakfast, famous as the hunting lodge for ruler of Mewar. They used to play their favourite sport hunting. Lunch is served at the Sun set point in the natural surroundings. You get the awesome experience to enjoy the view of Jagmandir, Pichola lake and Lake Palace.
- Visit to Crystal Gallery which is a balcony of Fateh Prakash Banquet hall. It contains a museum of crystal glass furniture, crockery, chandeliers of old times.
- Boat Ride at Lake Pichola.
Day 5: Sunday, Jaisalmer Arrival 9.15 AM Departure 11.45 PM
The desert's golden city, Jaisalmer, is extremely charming and can easily bewilder any traveler In the core of the Thar Desert lies Jaisalmer, a capital founded by Rawal Jaisal, in AD 1156. This Golden City of Rajasthan has a charm of its own. The Western most citadel of the desert… the yellow sandstone fort is an impressive sight.Discover the intricately carved, latticed havelis with their grand facades. After lunch on board, go for an exciting camel ride on the sweeping sand dunes of Sam. Enjoy the romance of solitude at Kuldhara. This is followed by a cultural performances-campfire with dinner in dunes. The magical charm of the desert will enthrall you.

- Lunch on board. Savor ethnic Rajasthani food. The ambience is further enlivened by folk music.
- Sun set view at sand dunes
- Dinner with Barbeque at Samdhani
Day 6: Monday, Jodhpur - Arrival 7.00 AM Departure 3.30 PM
Early next morning, The Palace on wheels arrives in the sun-city Jodhpur. Jodhpur was established in AD 1459. It is a land of majestic and mystic glory. A paranomic view of the city gives it a unique charm as it appears to have been painted in soft blue-shades-like a painter’s masterstroke. A visit to the Mehrangarh Fort will leave you awe struck, this majestic fort has an excellent museum and still preserves a vast array of arte facts.GSee the country’s only palace built in the 20th century- a fine specimen of Rajput architecture viz. the lavish Umaid Bhawan Palace. The mesmerizing royal charm will linger on as you leave Jodhpur, after lunch at palace hotel. Post lunch return back to the Palace on Wheels Train.
Day 7: Tuesday, Bharatpur Arrival 5.00 AM Departure 8.45 AM
Early next morning, the Palace on wheels takes you to Bharatpur, the capital of erstwhile ruler Maharaja Suraj Mal. Visit one of the finest bird sanctuary in the world famous Keoladeo Ghana National Park, the nesting place of Egrets, Siberian Cranes, migratory Water Fowl and other species of birds-over three hundred species of birds many of them migrant that come from parts as distinct as Serbia and China. Breakfast at the forest lodge.Season Special Arrangements :
- At the Bird Sanctuary the breakfast is served. Enjoying birding at the park.
Agra Arrival 10.30 AM Departure 11.00 PM
Agra is known to the world over for its beautiful Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal, a marble mausoleum built in the memory of his beloved Queen by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, is the greatest gesture of love known to mankind and is breathtaking by beautiful. Lunch is at a five star hotel followed by dinner.The journey ends here and you will head back to Delhi with memories of this incredible trip that is bound to linger in your heart for a long, long time.
