Palace on Wheels begins its journey from Delhi and slowly creeps through the travel destinations of royal Rajasthan, Agra in Uttar Pradesh and culminates its weekly journey in Delhi as well. So come explore the royal destinations, indulge in the music and folklore of this fascinating land as well as gym, chat, read and even make new friends on board the train!


Day 1: New Delhi-Wednesday-Departure 6:00 PM

Welcome to Palace on Wheels

You arrive in Delhi. Our representative picks you up.Delhi,the capital of India is the face of the country. If you have time you can enjoy a little sight-seeing in Delhi by exploring some of the famous monuments of Delhi.


The Palace on Wheels India luxury train journey starts in the evening. You will receive a warm, traditional welcome from the staff of Palace on Wheels. You may well feel like a king or queen for a moment when they garland you and smear your forehead with Sacred vermillion,called 'tikka' in India! There will also be an introductory meeting with your co- travelers.


Get yourself relax. As the journey proceed get yourself to enjoy the drink at the Bar. Once you are ready to have dinner enjoy some favourite Indian cuisine. The ambience in the train with soothing music gives you peaceful sleep for the night.


Day 2: Jaipur -Arrival 3.45 AM-Departure 11.30 PM

Hawa Mahal

The very first destination- Jaipur. tour the Hawa Mahal, known as Palace of Wind. The first view of the Palace leaves you mesmerised. Then you all visit the amazing Jantar Mantar- an Astronomical Observatory.


Explore City Palace, the museum of Royal Splendor. Jaipur is renowned for the handicrafts and you collect some souviners from the markets even hand block printed textiles will also be a good choice.


Lunch at Amber Fort.


Post lunch, explore the Amber Fort and take an elephant ride. The fusion of the Rajput and Mughal style of Architecture of the Amber Fort is worth the view! back to the Palace on Wheels. Relax for a bit.


The dinner is served at the Luxury five star hotel. Spend the night in the Palace on Wheels Train.

Day 3: Friday, Sawai Madhopur Arrival 5.30 AM Departure 10.30 AM

Tigers at Swai Madhopur

As the Palace on Wheels train arrive at Sawai Madhopur you proceed straight to the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve placed between the Aravali and Vindhya Hills. In past days Ranthambore Tiger Reserve used to be quiet famous for the Maharajas hunting lodge. If you are lucky enough you can spot a Tiger. Beside this animals like spotted deer, wild boar, jungle cat, indian gazel, jungle cat, panthers, hynas, jackel, sloth bears and various species brids. Enjoy a delicious breakfast at Hotel Vinayak in the natural enviroment.


Lunch on Board.


As you proceed on the Palace on Wheels ride through the countryside and enjoy the luxury. Palace on Wheels now reaches Chittorgarh.

Chittorgarh-Arrival 4.00 PM Departure 2.00 AM


Vijay Stambh - Chittorgarh Fort

Capture some stunning pictures of the largest fort in India. The Mauriyan rulers during the 7th century AD built the Chittorgarh Fort. Later with the Mewar Ruler coming to power they established the place as the capital


Explore the fort and its palaces. The aesthetics and architecture of Padamini and Rana Kumbha Palace will entrall you. The Beautiful queen Rani Padmini once lived in the Padamini Fort.Enchanted by the Queen's beauty , Alaudhin Khiliji attacked the fort in 1313. But the Rani killed herself by jumping into the fire. The Victory Tower of the Fort is its landmark.

Day 4: Saturday, Udaipur Arrival 8.00 AM Departure 3.30 PM

Udaipur City Palace

On the fourth day ofthe Palace on Wheels Tour you tour the most romantic city in Rajasthan , Udaipur city, which is located on the bank of the famous Lake Pichola. It was once the capital of Sisodia maharanas, a Rajput clan. Explore the aesthetic and imaginative work of art in it's miniature paintings of the city palace.


Season Special Arrangements :
Enjoy at Shikar Baori delicious breakfast, famous as the hunting lodge for ruler of Mewar. They used to play their favourite sport hunting. Lunch is served at the Sun set point in the natural surrounding. You get the awasome experience to enjoy the view of Jagmandir, Pichola lake and Lake Palace.
Visit to Crystal Gallery which is a balcony of Fateh Prakash Banquet hall. It contains a museum of crystal glass furniture, crockery, chandeliers of old times.

Day 5: Sunday, Jaisalmer Arrival 9.15 AM Departure 11.45 PM

Jaisalmer sundown

The desert's golden city,Jaisalmer, is extremely charming and can easilybewilder any traveler. This lovely city was founded by Rawal Jaisal, a Bhati Rajput ruler in 1156 AD. It used to be a trade centre in ancient times, as it is located en-route a caravan road that connects India with Persia, Egypt, Africa and the West!


You visit the Sonar Quila Fort (Golden Fort) made of yellow sand stone and it covers a vast area. A royal fort it is, but it is home to common people now. Explore the Jain temples located inside it.


You also visit the havelies. Patwon Ki Haveli and Nathmalgi Ke Haveli, Salim Singh Ji Ki Haveli explore the enthralling architecture


Lunch is served at Moomal Palace. Jaisalmer Villages and the sand dunes you proceed. The camel ride at the sunset an awesome experience.

Lunch at Hotel Moomal which is carved in yellow sand stone (first in Jaisalmer). Savor ethnic Rajasthani food. The ambience is further enlivened by folk music.

Day 6: Monday, Jodhpur-Arrival 7.00 AM Departure 3.30 PM

Mehrangarh Fort

Tour the Mehrangarh Fort which overlooks the blue city, Jodhpur and is atop a hill. It was built by Rao Jodha in 1459. Explore it's sculptures and the architecture of the entire fort. You can do shopping at the handicrafts market.


Gorgeous Umaid Bhawan Palace now as a hotel will be the venue for the lunch.
Post lunch return back to the Palace on Wheels train.



Day 7: Tuesday, Bharatpur Arrival 5.00 AM Departure 8.45 AM

Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary

Bharatpur is most famous for its Sanctuary. Jats once ruled here. It houses Lohargarh Fort (Iron Fort) which has bastions of mud.


Bird safari at Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary which is now known as Keoladeo Ghana National Park. It is home to various species of resident as well as migratory birds.

At the Bird Sanctuary the breakfast is served. Enjoying birding at the park .


Agra Arrival 10.30 AM Departure 11.00 PM

Taj Mahal

The Palace on Wheels train arrive Agra. Witness the poignant Taj Mahal. The marble work, intricate carvings in Taj Mahal is really worth to see. The several artisans, craftsman work Taj Mahal was built by the great Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory for the love for Mumtaz Mahal

Day 8: Wednesday, Delhi-Arrival 04.00 Hrs.
