  • A 10% surcharge levied on the tariff only during Christmas and New Year.
  • Service tax 2.58% shall be charged on the Palace on Wheels tariff
  • Extra US $15.00 per person Commercial tax is also applicable.

Tariff Includes
Travel with accommodation, morning tea, breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner. You will be taken in Deluxe Coaches during sightseeing and entrance fees at Historical Monuments and Palaces are included. The cultural entertainment with Bharatpur rickshaw ride, Udaipur boat ride, Jaisalmer Camel Ride are also included


Tariff Does Not Include
Your expenses like laundry, liquor, video cameras entrances and other expenses of personal nature are excluded


Ticket - Payment Option for Palace on Wheels
20% of ticket value at the time of booking
80% of ticket value 60 days prior to departure


Ticket Cancellation for Palace on Wheels

(a) In Case of FITS
1. 15% of ticket value 60 days prior to departure
2. 30% of ticket value 30-59 days prior to departure
3. 100% of ticket value less then 30 days prior to departure


(b) In Case of Group and charter
1. 20% of ticket value 60 days prior to departure
2. 100% of ticket value between 0 to 59 days prior to departure

Other Details


Meals: The two restaurant cars, the Maharaja and the Maharani, serve a wide range of Rajasthani, Indian, Continental and Chinese cuisine. Menus are changed seasonally.


Climate: Varies from 8o C to 25o C between September to March and in April around 30o C.


Clothing Recommended: Light tropical / light woolens.
